WHY:
During the New Year's Eve weekend, the LAPD would like to remind
motorists of the importance of not driving impaired. The press
conference will provide information on the impacts of impaired
(drunk/drugged) driving. MADD will share the message about the
dangers of impaired driving in an effort to help save lives. The
high-visibility national enforcement campaign, "If You Feel
Different, You Drive Different" runs from December 18, 2020,
through January 1, 2021. During this period, local law
enforcement will show zero tolerance for drunk and drug-impaired
driving. We need the media's assistance in reminding drivers
about the dangers of impaired driving and the impacts to
themselves and others.
