Bio: Sergeant Marvin Haney was shot and killed by
a robbery suspect whom he attempted to question at the corner of
Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. The suspect was arrested a
week later in Los Angeles.
The suspect, a 19 year old youth, was convicted of first degree
murder and sentenced to life on April 4, 1952.
