Cause of Death: Shot by Robbery Suspect
Bio: Officer Johnson was shot and killed by a
robbery suspect in Chinatown at 2:00 pm. Officer Johnson and his
partner had responded to the store and were let in by one of the
suspects who was posing as a store employee. When the two officers
entered, a shootout ensued and Officer Johnson was killed and his
partner was wounded. The suspect was apprehended and sentenced to
life.
Officer Johnson had been with the Department for three years and
was survived by his wife and daughter.
