Cause of Death: Shot by Robbery Suspect
Bio: Officer Kent and his partner were assigned a robbery detail. During the shift the batteries in Officer Kent's flashlight went dead. He and his partner stopped at a store to
purchase new batteries. As Officer Kent walked into the store he immediately noticed he just walked in on a robbery. As Officer Kent drew his gun the suspect began firing and hitting Officer Kent.
Officer Kent returned fire, but missed the suspect. As Officer Kent fell to the ground his partner engaged the suspect in gunfire but neither the robber or Officer Kents partner were hit, and the
suspect fled the location. Officer Kent died of his injuries.
